Graduate Roles
It won't be long before you graduate. And before you do, you're going to have to make some important decisions about your long-term career aspirations. But the chance to keep learning, to stretch yourself, make new friendships and even have fun needn't end on graduation day. Not if you opt for a career with us.
Of course, investment banking is a complex industry. Rewarding, certainly, but not to be taken lightly. So before you go any further, you need to ask yourself whether investment banking is right for you. It's often hard work, and you'll face new challenges every single day. So you need to consider whether or not you've got the personality to not just cope, but to thrive. But if you answer in the affirmative to those two questions, then we're sure that J.P. Morgan will be just what you're looking for.
So once you've made your mind up, what do we look for? The fact of the matter is that we are one of the world's greatest investment banks. Clients, reputation and future success all demand that we only take the very best graduates. Not just academically bright (we'll take that as a given), but articulate, hard working and independent-minded graduates. Neither do you need to be a mathematical genius or an expert in economics. Our world-class training and development will ensure that you gain the necessary skills whatever you have studied. And personality is important. Dealing with clients and working with senior management means that the ability to build strong relationships is vital.
The Recruitment Process
If you're interested in becoming an analyst with us, read about our recruitment process in our FAQ site and look at our online campus schedule. Our bankers and recruiters normally visit campuses in the fall to give presentations and to answer questions.
Our campus events are well worth going to. They're your chance to talk to the people who work here, get a taste of our culture and discuss your own ambitions. You'll also discover in more depth the background, skills and aptitudes each business area requires. Strong quantitative skills are essential. However, we interview all students who show a real interest, whatever their background.
