Technology is divided into two distinctive yet related areas: Business Technology and Infrastructure. Business Technology is all about the delivery and support of end-to-end applications infrastructure that address current business activity and aspirational business growth, while Infrastructure is focused on our core operating systems, running the data centres, desktops, networks, mainframes and distributed servers. Both areas are linked by a reputation for innovation whether it is driving competitive advantage through ever greater efficiency, or developing new products to enhance our trading and settlements operations. It's a reputation that we'll expect you to uphold.
Technology at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific is located in 14 countries including Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, India and Singapore and is structured around a strategy of Plan, Build, Operate and Control. As a graduate, you will experience different areas within one of our technology businesses. From inception to support, it's a great way to learn.
We welcome technical specialists in areas such as software or information architecture - but your capacity to learn and grow with us is equally as important as any technical skills you may already possess. You'll need to be a strong communicator, highly flexible and able to understand the commercial as well as technical challenge of your role. You won’t necessarily need a degree in IT, but you will need a real interest in the world of finance and a passion for the possibilities that the latest technologies open. Not in an abstract way, but in a manner that drives results and generates business success.
